Buying a Used Truck in Eastern Washington: What to Check

Around here a truck spends its life on gravel, in snow and hauling something. That changes the inspection list.

Look underneath first: undercarriage rust, leaking differentials, and the condition of the exhaust and brake lines tell you how the truck has been used.

Check the four-wheel drive actually engages, not just that the light comes on. Drive it on loose surface if you can.

Ask about the title status directly, and ask what work has been done recently. A truck with receipts is worth more than a truck with a story.
